Yayasan Batik Indonesia dedicated “Batik Indonesia” to the younger generations, in the hope that they would raise appreciation for batik by owning and wearing the fabric more often.

This book comprises brief yet insightful information on batik, such as the history of batik, how to identify the differences between batik and non-batik fabrics, a look into the rich range of batik motifs in Indonesia, how to care for batik fabrics, and a photo gallery that traces the evolution of batik from time to time.

The book comes in two versions; Bahasa Indonesia and English. It is light, concise, and easy to read for the youths who live abroad or in the country. Furthermore, the book is completed with an augmented reality map for an immersive reading experience, along with a QR code that enables readers to download digital copies of the book.
